* There is no point to the pre-battle phase. The dialogue isn't too bad, but the presentation is rough. Don't think there's time to change that, but something to keep in mind moving forward. * The voice acting itself sounds like a bad English dub of an anime. * The voice lines are delivered with way too much of a pause between them, they seem disjointed. Specifically the conversation scenes look like Windows 98 point-and-click backgrounds, and not in a good nostalgic way. * The conversation scenes are really not great for many reasons (advice below). * Calling your initial bowman "Robin" was a nice touch * The Undo system being available (but limited) is a great idea * The incorporation of magic while keeping physical combat at the forefront is a great approach I always love base-building systems in games, and this is a nice way to do it that also lets you understand how the pace for the game will be set * Linard and Marchelle are a cool dynamic, I'd like to see more of them * I like the rags-to-riches story told slightly in reverse * It's nice to see a body-blocking mechanic (Zone of Control) ((Note I have played up to and through the Camp being unlocked and discovered all the parts in it, so here are my notes up to and through that)) You guys are working on a Hell of a game here, and it has some really good mechanics! Still, there are some glaring aesthetic and story-telling issues (hopefully because it's still early in development) and some mechanical issues that could use tweaking, but that's why you put out Beta releases and demos, right? Anyway, on to my notes (and they are all meant as constructive criticism for the team). First off, thanks taking the time to read this.
